There are hundreds of different cheats, hacks and exploits that the clever scammer can utilize to unfairly take advantage of players like you in World of Warcraft. From the simplest forms of taking your gold and items to the most complex and convoluted methods of defeating you in PvP battles, there are repeated methods to playing dirty. It's always good to know how they do it and what they might do to cheat against you, so here I will save two of the most clever and hard to defeat methods utilized by the industrious cheater out there.

Hunters and Bestial Wrath

With a pet in hand, the Hunter is one of the hardest enemies you can face in simple PvP combat. They are essentially two enemies rolled into one and with the right planning, they can blitz and defeat you in a matter of seconds. However, if you know what is coming, you might be able to prepare.

This particular method is famous for its ability to utilize the built in aspects of the game to defeat you. First off, the Bestial Wrath attack is already an incredibly powerful, berserker like attack that can be utilized by a pet. It does an immense amount of damage but has a decent recharge time and the pet can usually be killed before it finishes.

However, by utilizing a mount and a pet in tandem, a player can actually double their bestial wrath against you. The pet freezes whenever a Hunter mounts. So, along with the pet, the spells and abilities cast on a pet freeze as well. For that reason, a Hunter can ideally cast the Bestial Wrath ability on their pet, mount up and ride to their PvP battle and still have the Bestial Wrath working. This means though that the Bestial Wrath ability will have recharged and they can attack you with two Bestial Wraths, a ridiculously hard combat technique to stop.

This method of attack is hard to stop, but by being aware of the method you can recognize when it might be coming your way. Don't engage in combat against players riding mounts or Hunters coming from afar. Be wary and keep your distance and be prepared for that Bestial Wrath.

Arena Weapon Bluffs

Another common method to cheat win PvP is to get around the bluff ban in the Arena. It's a simple trick that can be done simply by buffing a weapon with a sharpening stone or mana oil and then bagging it only to re-equip it after arriving in the arena. If an opponent changes weapons before they even start fighting you, be aware that they may have buffed their weapon and now hold an unfair advantage. There's not necessarily anything you can do, but if you know the extra damage is coming, you can be ready for it and heal accordingly.
